Export Results
If required your query results may be exported to Microsoft Excel, CSV File format, to other formats (HTML, or XML) or to Crystal Reports.
Version 3.0.0 of this UTB has changed the process of exporting and the destination and type is selected from a single screen.
Take either Tools / Export from the menu or press the Export icon 
on the Toolbar and the general Export dialog box appears below.
It is a three step process to export your query results:
| Step 1: | Decide 'What' you would like to export? |
| Step 2: | Indicate 'Where' you want to export to and the file type (Excel, CSV or HTML etc.) |
Step 3: Execute the export.
What would you like to export?
Again there are three options:
| 1. | Select records from grid (A subset of Columns and Rows from the results) |
Highlight the records on the query results pane and if this option is checked, then they will be the ones exported.
| 2. | Whole grid |
When a query is executed it produces a 'grid' of results of 100 lines. As the results are scrolled in the results pane the grid is extended in blocks of 100. This can be seen by reviewing the count at the bottom of the screen on the status bar (the above screen is showing 100). If this option is checked, then the grid contents will be exported.
| 3. | Query Results |
If this option is checked, then all the query results will be exported. This may be a large number so it is sensible to check the results total be running the 'count' option.
NOTE: One print check box must be selected or you will get an error message 'You need to make a choice in step 1 before printing can start'
