Client Access ODBC Driver

 

Before using jdeDirect ODBC you must ensure that Client Access ODBC drivers are installed on your PC.  Follow this path to check your ODBC connections:

 

Start | Settings | Control Panel | Administrative tools | Data Sources (ODBC)

 

You will then be presented with the ODBC Data Source Administration dialog.  Select the Drivers tab to review the drivers currently installed on your system.

If installing these components for the first time on your PC, please ensure that the following items are selected during the Client Access setup:

 

jdeDirect_World_Client_access_Component_selection

 

 

Please ensure that you have downloaded and installed the latest Service Pack for your version of client access from the IBM website, this can be found at http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/access/sphist.html

 

Locate the installation media on your iSeries at  \\your_iseries_ip_number\qibm\ProdData\CA400\Express\Install\Image

 

 

 

NOTE REGARDING erpDirect INSTALLATION ONLY:

Client Access v5 is not compatible with Windows 98; Install Client Access v4 when installing erpDirect on a Windows 98 system
