License Application and Product Activation - At Installation
After the ODBC Application has run the Install Wizard will require an Activation code and the License Application dialog box will appear.
Select OK and the licensing screen displays.
This screen shows your:
Existing Activation Code
Expiration Date
The Number of User Concurrent License (Always 1 for Single User License)
The Product being Licensed jdeDirect Single User, jdeDirect World Multi User etc.
The ODBC Driver Version number
After a first time download the 'Existing Activation Code' will be empty. Click on 'Request new code from our server' GO button.
If you select 'Close' the download application will close but no Authorisation will have been granted and you will not be able to run the application! The License and Activation code details may be obtained by entry via the Control Panel. See Software Licensing & Activation - Control Panel Entry for details.
Assuming that the Go! button for 'Request new code from our server' has been selected the system checks for server connectivity and the User Portal Id screen appears.
The required details are available from a Unity e-mail that will have been sent to the e-mail address when the application was first requested.
The e-mail will look something like the following:
Copy the details into the ODBC Driver Licensing dialog box. This information is also available in your Customer 'My Account' details once a download has occurred.
Initially the activation code is blank; On selecting Get Key the, Selecting Activation Code' dialog box flashes on the screen, then the 30 day product Activation code is returned.
If a previous license key exists, from a prior download then the following screen is displayed with the Activation code.
Select Close to finish installation and display the final InstallShield Wizard.
Select Finish to complete and you will be asked if you now want to install the Universal Table Browser (UTB) tool from Unity.
