jdeDirect ODBC drivers are available for all versions of JD Edwards OneWorld including; Xe. Erp8, v8.9, v8.10, v8.11, and v8.12.

At version 8.9 JD Edwards introduced Security Patch No22 that significantly affected the Database User Id and Password authentication, with the result that Unity Solutions introduced the 'proxy server' and the ODBC driver installation was changed for both Fat Client and Gateway Service installations.

There is a detailed discussion on the Service patches installed at the end of this guide.  All that is required for any ODBC driver installation now is, what version of JD Edwards you are operating and if prior to v8.9 has the security patch been applied?
