ODBC Pass Through Installation - Post Service Pack 22.
To start the download follow the Start Download & Installation - Common section of this manual.
After you have chosen the destination location and selected Next the following Unity Configuration screen appears.
Note: For this installation you will need your:
NOTE 1: This is the same screen as used for a Fat Client, Single User setup but the Pass Through (PT) check box now needs selecting.
NOTE 2: The Pass-through selection screen format for version 3.0.2.0 of the jdeDirect driver has changed slightly and is shown below. The check box is now the third option on the configuration tool. All subsequent functionality remains the same.
NOTE 2: If the Severe Error message appears, it is because the ODBC Driver is already installed! If you are intending to reinstall then it must be uninstalled first.
For Pass Through installation check the PT box. You will be asked immediately which JDE.INI file you wish to install and the following windows dialog box will appear.
The ODBC Pass Through installation requires a JDE.INI file to be available. If a Fat Client had been installed then the .INI file would have been installed with the Fat Client. However, it is likely that the Pass Through installation is being installed on a PC for the first time and no .INI files exist. The necessary .INI file may be on a server on your network. Therefore, either see your Systems administrator for the required path and details or if known enter the details here. On entering the correct path details the E1 Configuration screen is returned with the .INI path details shown.
Select Next continue.
The JDE login details password screen appears.
Enter valid JDE Login Details: JDE User ID JDE User Password Environment
and select Next to continue.
NOTE: As this is a Pass Through installation the JDE database security is bypassed and only the JDE User security is required.
The security details you enter is validated against the JDE security library entries and if there is an error, the following screen appears.
Select OK to return to the previous security screen and correct your entry.
Select Next again. The successful application screen appears.
Select Finish to display the Licensing and Activation set of screens.
Go to Software Licensing & Activation - Common to complete your installation of the ODBC driver Pass Through Post Service Pack 22 application.
