Service Configuration

The service configuration tool enables you to reset the control accounts that the GATEWAY machine will use when logging into Windows and JD Edwards.  Valid Windows and JD Edwards log in credentials are required to ensure correct Thin Client connections and authentication.

Use this program to change:

Windows User Account - The Installer creates a new user account called JDEDIRECT_SERV on the GATEWAY machine and sets the required rights and password, should this account become locked out or the password become corrupted, use this program to RESET the JDEDIRECT_SERV account.

OneWorld User Account - The service logs into the GATEWAY machine's JD Edwards Fat Client using the supplied OneWorld User Id and Password, use this program to update, correct or reset the JD Edwards OneWorld User Id and Password.

Security Patch Installed - if you have the OneWorld Security Patch installed or if your installation is version 8.9 or higher, then proceed to configure the database proxy settings using the database user id and password.

Port Number - The service will listen on the default port number of 20938, if you make any changes to the port number, please ensure that ALL Thin Client PC's attempting to connect are also reconfigured to the new port number using the ODBC Driver Controls program found in the jdeDirect Control Panel on each local install.

Always Re-start the service after making any changes to the configuration.
