Gateway Machine - Post Installation Instructions

This service is available if you wish to change the Gateway machine security service settings.  If you have just installed the Gateway service then you will not need to follow this process.

To Start the Service

Launch the Service Configuration tool from

Start | Program Files | Unity Enterprise Solutions | jdeDirect Service and select the Start Service button.

The screens should now look familiar.  Follow the relevant Pre or Post Service Pack 22 Installation instructions as if this was a new installation.

The Service Configuration Tool installed on the GATEWAY machine is used to configure the way the Thin Client security operates and as such requires that a local account is created on the GATEWAY machine, this account runs the Thin Client service which needs to log onto the machine with a valid Password. The password used is predefined and built into the service launch routines, the configuration tool will allow you to reset the password back to the default predefined password should it become locked or changed inadvertently.

The service also logs into JD Edwards OneWorld to then authenticate the Thin Client connections, to do this you need to provide the service with OneWorld log in credentials. The tool will allow you to define and make changes to the log in credentials.

Always Re-start the service after making any changes to the configuration.
