Fat Client Pre-Install Check List
Confirm that the following checks have been carried out:
| • | Ensure that you have the correct version of MDAC installed on your system. |
| • | You have a copy of jdeDirect ODBC installation executable downloaded to the workstation you wish to install to or have the file accessible via a network share. |
| • | Ensure that your installation workstation has a copy of the JD Edwards Fat Client installed. Ensure that you can log into the JD Edwards system. |
| • | You have a OneWorld User id that has been granted authority to one or more OneWorld environments. The jdeDirect ODBC driver respects OneWorld environment security and will only allow access to those environments that your OneWorld user id has been granted. |
| • | Check if you have the OneWorld Security Patch installed or if your installation is version 8.9 or higher, if you have, ensure you have a valid database user id and password (READ ONLY) available to configure in the database proxy program. |
