The default 'Use EnterpriseOne Dynamic Java Connector to validate user login' is pre-selected on entry. It is strongly recommended that this validation methodology is used. Version 2.0.4.7 of the ODBC driver introduces an alternative (The default) EnterpriseOne login mechanism using the java interoperability connectors. The alternative, using EnterpriseOne Fatclient APIs was used in earlier versions of the driver only, and is left here as an option.
Select the validation method or leave the default and then select Next to continue.
The following User ID, and Password screen appears
The default entry 'I have a single database User ID and Password for ALL connections', is pre-selected. This means that a single DB User and password has been setup for all connections and is designed to make password change control easier. If available from your Systems Manager enter details and select Next. The application has finished successfully wizard appears.
If the second radio button 'I DO NOT have a single database User and Password for ALL connections' is selected, the User ID and Password entry boxes are greyed out and the system uses the F98OWSEC table. No single entry is possible. Select Next to continue and the final database password screen appears.
The database password validation screen is displayed. ONLY the PASSWORD column is available for input. Select the required row / PASSWORD entry box and enter a password. If the password entered is not valid, then on selecting Next the row with the invalid entry will be highlighted in red. You must correct the entry before continuing.
Two option buttons are available:
Refresh: If the Refresh option is selected the following warning dialog box is displayed.
Select No to return to the previous screen without refreshing the passwords.
Select Yes if you want to refresh the previous entry screen (cached records) with BLANKS. i.e. The cached record of passwords is cleared and will need re-inputting.
Resynch: If the Resynch option is selected the following warning dialog box is displayed.
Select No to return to the previous screen without re-synchronising the users and passwords
Select Yes if you want to synchronise passwords to the current table settings. i.e. If users have been added or deleted in F98OWSEC then they are synchronised in the DBProxy console.
Once the required passwords have been entered in the Password screen, then select Next to display the finished application install screen.
Note: If installing the Post Service Pack 22 Gateway Service, the process differs at this point. Select Thin Client, Gateway Service, Post-SP22 Installation.

NOTE During entry of DB Login details and JDE User details, the system checks the F98OWSEC table and if there is an entry error the following JDE Database password Entry dialog box is displayed for re-input of details.
Enter User ID and password and select OK. If all DB and User details check then the installation will continue as described. If a problem continues then jdeDirect displays the following Error message.
If this appears, then select OK and start over.
