Database Proxy

The database proxy program is the Unity implementation in support of the OneWorld Security Patch issued by Peoplesoft and implemented at most sites running OneWorld Xe, ERP8, EnterpriseOne 8.9, 8.10 and 8.11.

This application only needs to be configured if you have implemented the OneWorld Security Patch or are running ERP8, EnterpriseOne 8.9, 8.10 and 8.11.  The program is launched from either the Fat Client installation using the ODBC Driver Controls program from the jdeDirect Control Panel or from the GATEWAY Install using the service configuration. Thin Clients operating under the OneWorld Security Patch do not need to carry out this process.

It is advised that your CNC team are involved in this part of the set-up.

Set-up the Database Proxy.

The Database Proxy program is used to tell jdeDirect the correct Database user id and passwords to be used in combination with OneWorld Users and OneWorld DSNs in a manner very similar to the existing OneWorld database configuration.

By clicking on "Setup Database Proxy". You will be prompted with the login box.  Please enter an admin OneWorld User Id, Password and an Environment then select OK.

After a few status boxes, a list of OneWorld User Ids and their corresponding System Ids will be presented and their DSNs (if any).

Column SCUSER displays OneWorld Users

Column SCSECF1 displays the database DSN

Column SCSECUSR displays the database User Id

Column SCSECPWD displays the database password as asterisks

For each user that requires access to jdeDirect ODBC you need to enter a valid database password into the password input.

And then select the UPDATE button when you have finished.

If you need to come back and add or update these entries at any time, see above on how to launch this application.
