OneWorld Security Patch

 

Peoplesoft issued a security Tech Flash in early 2004 which resulted in a number of modifications to the way the software encrypted and decrypted the internally held

Database passwords.  This modification affected the various versions of the OneWorld suite as follows:

Sites that have implemented this modification to their OneWorld/EnterpriseOne E1 Software will need to provide jdeDirect with a valid database user id and password to enable connectivity, all other security features and functions of the ODBC driver are unaffected.

 

Please ensure that you have correctly setup your connectivity parameters to enable this feature, for a Fat Client installation this setting can be found in the ODBC Driver Controls from within the jdeDirect Control Panel.  For Thin Client installation, this does not affect the local installation, however, the GATEWAY machine will need to be setup correctly.
