Debug Logging

How to put the driver into Debug Logging mode.

If you have a 'problem' with the driver and register a help request it is possible that you will be asked to turn on Debug Logging; this is the process to follow.

Please note that driver performance will be greatly reduced when running with the logging switched ON.

Go to the jdeDirect control panel and double click the driver controls icon.  See also under jdeDirect Control Panel for a full discussion on the Control Panel.

                      jdeDirect_Control_Panel_Advanced

Switch the driver debug logging on, and then click UPDATE.

Execute the application that is giving you the error.. The logs are generated into the install directory:

ONEWORLD

In this example the Log files are generated under:

C:| Program Files | UES Limited | ODBC Driver | jdeDirect | bin | iwinnt

jdeDirect_ODBC_OW_Log_file

Unity Support will require copies of ALL files with extensions of .log in the iwinnt folder.

In the example above four .log files are highlighted but depending on the application there could be more files.

If requested., ZIP and email the logs back to our helpdesk.

Don't forget to switch logging OFF once you have finished generating the logs.

If in any doubt about this process consult your Systems Administrator.
