Connecting to JD Edwards

 

jdeDirect and erpDirect are ODBC drivers, you need to select ODBC from Crystal Reports to initiate the connection.  The driver will prompt for your JD Edwards log in credentials before making the database available to you to report over.

 

When using Crystal Reports..

Expand the ODBC tree from within "Create New Connection". You will then be presented with a list of available DSN's, select the appropriate DSN that is configured to use Unity ODBC driver.

Once a Unity ODBC DSN has selected, the driver will prompt for your JD Edwards log in credentials.

You may enter the World Environment name as a pre-fix to your user name - separated by a back slash "\", in this case, any value entered in the Environment input will be ignored.

 

You may also enter the World Environment name as a pre-fix to your user name when prompted by Crystal Enterprise

 

 

erpDirect_CR_Database_Login_

 

If you do not qualify the World Environment at this point, the default environment will be used that is configured in the DSN's general controls on the Crystal Server.
