Host Control Library
The Unity Control Library is required on the iSeries (AS/400) host, this library should be named as follows:
UES_nn
where nn is the major release number of the jdeDirect ODBC driver being used. At the time of publishing this document the major driver version is 2.0, the control library expected would be UES_20
To establish the major release of the driver, call up the Licensing Program from the jdeDirect Control Panel., the product description and version will be display. The version value will display something like 2.0.4.7 indicating version 2, release 0, modification 4.7. The major release is considered to be 2.0 and to maintain iSeries (AS/400) library naming standards we would drop the period and name the control library UES_20
Note: The last major release of the driver was V3.0. This was released in June 2007 but affected jdeDirect OneWorld and E1 ODBC driver installation and not the ODBC World driver.
A sample control library with some example data is available for download from our website. The driver will behave with the default settings should it fail to find the control library or associated files.
A sample copy of the Control Library is available on our website for download. Contact Unity Solutions if you require further details. The Sample Control Library is a SAVF file and you should simply rename it to an existing save file name and FTP the file to your host iSeries (AS/400).
Once there, you can carry out a RSTLIB operation on the save file. The saved library is UES_20.
