World DSN Options Tab
The Unity Enterprise Solutions Ltd jdeDirect World ODBC Driver Options Tab displays two tick box options.
A8.1 (or above) Data Dictionary:
Enable Support For Double-Byte data
World Version (A8.1 Data Dictionary)
Check this box if you are running World version A8.00 and higher.
(Logon to jdeWorld on your AS/400 and the version of jdeWorld is displayed on the bottom two lines of the screen).
Enable Support For Double-Byte Data
This box is checked on by default on installation of the driver. If your application has a double-byte database it will be fully supported. If this flag is on your system may be slower as more processing is occurring.
If your database is NOT double-byte then the application performance will be improved if this flag is unchecked.
