OneWorld - Thin Client

The new version 3.0 of jdeDirect ODBC driver has been designed to be loaded and installed without the requirement of a Fat Client.  If a Fat Client is available then the driver set up will recognise the existence of the fat client and will use the information available.

The default set up uses Java Interoperability connectors for authentication and validation.

There are three ways now available to the User to install the driver.

       a.        Pre Service Pack 22 route

       b.        Post Service Pack 22 route

2.        Gateway Service route

3.        Pass Through route

The detailed installation sequence is discussed in detail in the relevant section of this manual.  This manual introduction discusses the installation options available to the User in detail.  It is suggested that you read this section before starting your installation and set up.
