OneWorld DSN Options Tab

The Unity Enterprise Solutions Ltd jdeDirect E1 ODBC Driver Options Tab displays three tick box options.

V31_DSN_Options

Enable Support For Double-Byte Data

This box is checked by default on installation and if your application has a double-byte database it will be fully supported.  If this flag is on your system may be slower as more processing is occurring.

If your database is NOT double-byte then the application performance will be improved if this flag is unchecked.

Enable Support for Media Objects (New Option in ODBC Driver Version 3.0.2.0)

Leave this option unchecked and the system will be unchanged and remain as Version 2 (Not Available).   The default is Unchecked.

Check this box to Enable Support for Media Objects.

Unitys new version 3.0.2.0 ODBC drivers for JD Edwards OneWorld and EnterpriseOne now expose E1 media and text objects just like any other table and column.

The jdeDirect ODBC driver now exposes ALL the GT structures as Tables, and then makes the media objects (MO) available in a number of formats in various columns for customized viewing.

For a more detailed description of Media Objects (MO) selection and display in Crystal Reports, see the section Media & Text Objects later in this Help Manual.

Use Single Sign On

If this option is available and has not been switched on when the ODBC Driver was first down loaded it may be switched on here.  For a full discussion on Single Sign On and Unified Log On see the Single Sign On section of this manual.
