Multiple Business Units (MCU fields)
jdeDirect for World and erpDirect for World treat User Security in a different way when Multiple Business Units are defined in any file. Embedded in the World code are 'Overrides' to the required Business Unit.
The Unity ODBC Driver does not use the same 'override' functionality as the override information is not known so overrides are NOT applied.
Business Unit / Branch Plant Security is defined in the F0001 file and this will be applied by the driver. For files that have multiple MCU fields, a new User Defined Code (UDC) table (98UN) has been created to help determine which MCU field(s) will be excluded from the security check(s) i.e is being overridden. Data Items that have a class of COSTCTRSEC will be used in the edit unless they are marked with a '1' in the description-2 field of the UDC table.
An example of this table is shown below. It is normally a System Administration function to 'control' entries in this table.
If you find that queries over your jdeDirect or erpDirect World tables, that have Multiple Business Units defined are not displaying expected results and Branch Plants are not appearing then check entries in the F0001 table.
If in any doubt consult your Systems Administrator...
