Service Installation Using Java Connectors
Java Connector Route for Authentication
You have decided to load the service using the Java Connector authentication route.
You now need to copy onto the Service PC a copy of the entire contents of the System\Classes directory usually found under the base OneWorld installation folder e.g. C:\E811\System\Classes. If you have problems see your Systems Administrator.
NOTE: The Classes folder may contain Sample folders and other Zipped folders. These are not required for this service and do not need to be copied. However, to simplify the copy action the whole contents of the base Classes folder may be copied.
The path on the this PC MUST be as defined as: C:\Unity\ODBCServices\E811ENT_001\Classes.
If the Classes file is either not correct or empty or does not exist, then one of the following Error messages may appear.
Select OK and try again...
On successful copy of the Classes folder, the database User ID and Password entry screen appears.
The first time installation default entry 'I have a single database User ID and Password for ALL connections', is pre-selected. This means that a single DB User and password has been setup for all connections and is designed to make password change control easier. If available from your Systems Manager enter details and select Next to display the Port setting default screen.
If the second radio button 'I DO NOT have a single database User and Password for ALL connections' is selected, the User ID and Password entry boxes are greyed out and the system uses the F98OWSEC table. No single entry is possible. Select Next to continue and the final database password screen appears.
If this is not the first installation then the default entry here is the same as your 'last time' selection.
On selecting Next the jdeDirect Gateway Advanced Settings screen displays the default TCP/IP port.
On entry the TCP/IP Port will be greyed out but displays the default port id. If for any reason you wish to change this Port ID then select the Use Default check box and entry will be allowed in the TCP/IP Port field.
On 'Next' the successful installation completion wizard appears.
