Seamless Access to World data
Unity has bought together 2 great software products to give customers easy access to the reporting power of Crystal Reports while retaining JD Edwards World business logic and security. Using the latest version of erpDirect (previously jdeDirect) Data Access Driver, which has been specially updated for Crystal Reports and Enterprise users, customers can design reports directly off the World environments library list. Logon requirements are gated by World security, so IT managers can be sure that users maintain their access privileges. All date and numeric data is pre-processed and presented in the correct format, access to UDC descriptions is also made available.

How do I order Crystal Reports and Crystal Enterprise for JD Edwards World?
The Crystal and Unity applications are completely backward compatible with ALL versions of JD Edwards World currently covered under maintenance. There is nothing to install or change on the iSeries or World installation, the Crystal and Unity solutions are windows PC based and require only connectivity to your iSeries.
To receive the Crystal and Unity applications and initial user licenses, customers must first sign schedules to their license agreement. If you are a customer based in the United States, you can download the license schedules, along with product overview information, from the Update Centre on Customer Connection via update 7540405 Download update 7540405 now. Follow the instructions on the schedules for returning the schedules via fax. Receipt of the executed schedules initiates the order process.
