OneWorld - Thin Client
The Thin Client mode allows installation of a jdeDirect ODBC driver on a PC or server where NO OneWorld Fat Client exists. The jdeDirect ODBC driver will open a HTTPS communication channel to another system that DOES have a OneWorld Fat Client installed when performing OneWorld security checks and user authentication. In this configuration you could have many Thin Client PC's all pointing to a single Fat Client machine, referred to as the GATEWAY machine – usually a batch server - for its security checks and user authentications.
