erpDirect ODBC Driver Installation
Your software will have been delivered on a CD from Oracle with a Single User Restricted Licence.
Double click the setup.exe program to start the installation. The installation for the Crystal Reports version is likely to start from a .zip file like v2044_erpDirect_CR.zip and the Crystal Enterprise version is likely to start from v2044_erpDirect_CE.zip. The process of installation is the same for Crystal Reports and Crystal Enterprise.
If the following Severe Error dialog box is displayed then you are trying to install erpDirect for Crystal Enterprise on a client machine! This is not allowed, make the installation on a machine with the windows server operating system.
Conversely, if the next Severe Error is displayed, you are trying to install erpDirect for Crystal Reports on a server machine. This is not allowed, make the installation on a client machine without a server operating system.
When the installation process commences you will be presented with a series of screens, follow the on screen instructions until you are advised that the install has completed. The install process is similar to the jdeDirect WORLD installation process until the License Key input screens appear.
Note: For this installation you will need your:

| • | Oracle license key details |
If they are not available, please re-read the Prerequisites section of this manual before proceeding.
During the erpDirect installation process the 'License Key Method' dialog box will be presented. This is different to the jdeDirect installation as Oracle supplies the initial single user license. Subsequent licenses are supplied by Oracle.
Two options are presented, as shown:
You should have been supplied with a license key from Oracle, if you have it available select Next for the key entry screen.
Enter the License key it will be in the form PSFT1-C1A01-145161-412519 for erpDirect RUL for Single User for Crystal Reports. Notice that the iSeries Host Serial number is displayed; this is NOT changeable and is system generated from the IP address entered earlier in the install process.
The License Key for 1 Concurrent User for Crystal Enterprise will be in the form PSFT1-C1A01-166201-451614.
Select Next to continue to display your erpDirect Licensing details.
On first time install this screen will be all blank. Fill in details as requested. You MUST enter an e-mail address before installation can be completed.
On selecting Next the install process is completed by registering Activation codes, Creating the erpDirect Control panel details and caching schema details.
Your activation code will be returned with the Expiration Date for the Product installed. For further erpDirect licensing via the erpDirect Control Panel see License The erpDirect ODBC Driver.

60 Day Temporary License Option
The installation program will issue you a 60 (Sixty) day temporary key to use the software on the installed system, within this time you must activate the software, failure to activate within 60 days of installation will result in the erpDirect ODBC drivers ceasing to operate. Activation is carried out using the Software Licensing application which will automatically prompt during installation. Ensure you have your product codes handy, these will be needed to activate.
Once the installation is complete review your DSN general configurations.
